Diagno LJ Fast® is an automated and improved LJ medium used for the detection of mycobacterial growth.

In order to make it more selective for mycobacteria, various antibacterials and an antifungal have been added to Diagno LJ Fast® , which inhibit the growth of other microorganisms. Culture results support the diagnosis of tuberculosis.

Diagno LJ Fast® is a selective culture medium with multiple stain indicators allowing earlier detection of mycobacterial growth compared to the classic Löwenstein–Jensen (LJ). In addition, Diagno LJ Fast® has the ability to distinguish mycobacterial growth from contamination.

The color change can be easily evaluated with the naked eye, and the tubes can also be monitored with the TBReader® , a highly advanced automatic incubator and reader.
